Karin is happy to introduce Aqua Clara – a water purification project that uses sand. Sand filters produce high-quality water without the use of chemical aids. Passing flocculated water through a gravity sand filter strains out the floc and the particles trapped within it, reducing numbers of bacteria and removing most of the solids thus making water safe for drinking and giving families a source of constant drinking water!
