The conference was organized by Save for Health Uganda with a selection of experts in health financing, service delivery and social protection to make presentations and give perspectives at the conference. The conference also brings together promoters and members of Community Health Finance (CHF) schemes, policy makers, healthcare providers, civil society actors and other stakeholders in health and social protection sectors. The conferences provide a platform to advocate for the introduction of a universal and fair National Health Insurance Scheme (NHIS) that recognizes CHF as a mechanism for enabling the informal sector to enroll for health insurance.
