This race is to raise funds for Non Communicable Diseases such as Diabetes, heart disease, cancers , chronic kidney disease etc. In vulnerable communities in Northern Uganda. All demographics are affected by these diseases and early detection can help prevent death and suffering. The charity run organised by a Non Governmental Organization called Karin Community Initiative Uganda (KCIU) intends to raise funds for testing kits so that families in vulnerable communities can get tested and appropriate treatment can be given to the patients at the two facilities based in Gulu Uganda.
